Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the booking and delivery of workshops, training days, and related services (“Services”) provided by Fire Events Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 04504789, trading as High Performance Leadership. By booking a workshop with us, you (“you”, “your”, “the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

Bookings and Payment

  • A booking is confirmed once we have received written confirmation and a deposit of 50% of the total workshop fee.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the scheduled workshop date.
  • Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise, and exclude venue hire and catering unless we have expressly agreed in writing to arrange these on your behalf.
  • Our standard workshops are priced for groups of 12–18 delegates; additional delegates up to a maximum of 36 can be accommodated at a price on application.

Cancellations and Rescheduling by You

  • More than 28 days before the workshop date: any deposit paid will be refunded in full, less any costs we have already committed on your behalf (such as venue deposits).
  • Between 14 and 28 days before the workshop date: the deposit is non-refundable, but no further charges apply.
  • Less than 14 days before the workshop date: the full workshop fee becomes payable and is non-refundable.

We’re always happy to discuss rescheduling to a new date where possible, and will use reasonable efforts to accommodate this without additional charge, subject to availability and any costs already incurred.

Cancellations by Us

Occasionally we may need to cancel or postpone a workshop — for reasons including facilitator illness, extreme weather affecting outdoor elements, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where this happens, we will offer you a choice of a rescheduled date or a full refund of any sums paid.

Venue, Catering and Outdoor Activity

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you are responsible for arranging and paying for the venue and catering for your workshop.
  • Many of our workshops include outdoor elements. Please let us know in advance of any health conditions, mobility requirements, or other considerations that may affect a participant’s ability to take part safely, so we can adapt the day accordingly.
  • Participants take part in outdoor activities at their own risk and are expected to follow the reasonable instructions of our facilitators at all times, for their own safety and that of the group.

Our Responsibilities

  • We will deliver the Services with reasonable care and skill, using appropriately qualified and experienced facilitators.
  • We maintain public liability insurance appropriate to the activities we deliver.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Intellectual Property

Any materials, frameworks, or resources we provide as part of a workshop remain our intellectual property (or that of the relevant third-party originator, such as a licensed psychometric tool). You may use these materials internally within your organisation but may not reproduce, resell, or distribute them without our prior written consent.

Confidentiality

We will treat information shared with us about your organisation and its people as confidential, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to any proprietary content, frameworks, or materials we share with you.

Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under these Terms where that failure or delay results from circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in force at the date of your booking confirmation will apply to that booking.
