Each session is led by an experienced facilitator who guides the group through carefully structured activities focused on communication styles, active listening, and the art of influencing without authority.

Topics can include communication styles and preferences, storytelling and persuasion, difficult conversations, influencing upwards, or bespoke themes relevant to your organisation and the dynamics your teams navigate every day.

We blend structured indoor facilitation with guided outdoor activities. Working outside removes the usual workplace dynamics, creates space for more honest conversation, and helps people communicate in ways they wouldn’t in a meeting room.

Sessions are designed to suit all backgrounds and communication styles. The day is structured, unhurried, and facilitated to ensure everyone feels safe to speak up, practise, and grow throughout.

These workshops work equally well across all levels — from frontline teams to senior leaders. When people understand how others communicate and what drives them, collaboration becomes easier and influence becomes natural.

One-Day Communication and Influence Workshop

This immersive, full-day experience is designed to transform how your people communicate — building clarity, confidence, and the ability to influence others with authenticity and impact — through expert facilitation, practical tools, and time spent working together outdoors.

09:30 – Welcome & Setting the Scene

• Arrival, light refreshments: herbal teas, fruit, and pastries
• Meet the facilitator and group introductions
• Outline of the day, group agreements, and intention setting
• Opening reflection: “When did you last feel truly heard at work — and what made the difference?”

10:00 – How We Communicate

Theme: Awareness & Understanding

• Facilitated introduction to communication styles and what shapes the way we express ourselves
• Group discussion: where communication breaks down in everyday work and why
• Self-reflection exercise: “My communication style” — recognising your patterns and blind spots
• Pair sharing: a conversation that didn’t land as intended and what you’d do differently

11:15 – Outdoor Communication Challenge

Theme: Connecting Differently

• Guided outdoor activity designed to surface how your team communicates under pressure
• Structured challenges exploring listening, clarity, and influence without authority: How clearly can you get your message across when conditions aren’t perfect? What happens to your communication style when the stakes feel high?
• Debrief on return: what the activity revealed about your team’s communication dynamics

12:00 – The Art of Influence

Theme: Persuasion, Trust & Impact

• Facilitated session on what influence really means — and how it differs from manipulation
• Exploring the principles of persuasion: credibility, connection, and clarity
• Small group activity: crafting and delivering a message designed to bring others with you
• Group debrief: what made the difference between influence that worked and influence that didn’t

14:00 – Difficult Conversations & Active Listening

Theme: Courage, Empathy & Connection

• How truly listening — not just waiting to speak — transforms relationships and outcomes
• Group activity: “The Conversation We’ve Been Avoiding” — honest, facilitated practice
• Exploring how to navigate challenge, disagreement, and feedback with confidence and care
• Pair work: practising active listening and delivering a difficult message with clarity and respect

15:15 – Outdoor Closing Activity

Theme: Clarity & Commitment

• Short outdoor session in pairs or small groups
• Guided reflections: What one change would make the biggest difference to how I communicate with my team? Who do I need to have a better conversation with — and what’s been stopping me?
• Pair sharing and group reconvene

16:00 – Closing Circle & Integration

• Grounding exercise and group reflection
• Written reflection: “One conversation I will approach differently after today…”
• Personal commitment cards: one concrete action to carry forward
• Feedback and close
